This painting is my attempt to express how I feel when I first disembark the plane at Kona airport: a wave of warm air, perfumed with flowers envelops one’s body. It is a promise of swimming in a warm ocean, tasting tropical tree-ripened fruits, seeing the riotous colors of flowers. This painting is my meditation on how one step could take one from a capsule of a plane cabin to the environment that promises adventures and sensory enjoyment of every sort.
